Whether you're just starting out or have been building your business for a while, engaging with your community online can help you build relationships, grow your network, and ultimately lead to a bigger team and more sales.

First things first, let's talk about where to find your online community.

Facebook groups are a great place to start. Young Living® has a variety of official groups for brand partners, and there are plenty of health and wellness, holistic health, homesteading, and pretty much every other niche community you can think of. Search for groups related to your personal interests, such as essential oils for pets, cooking with essential oils, or natural skincare. Join a few and start engaging!

Be the conversation starter.

Now that you're in the group, it's time to start engaging. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself and share a little bit about yourself and your interests. Ask questions, share your experiences, and be open to learning from others. Remember, this is a community, and everyone is here to support each other. And don’t be shy about sharing your expertise! You have a lot to offer in the group, both in regards to YL and through your other skills and talents. Start showing up right away as the go-to expert.

Another great way to engage online is through hosting virtual events.

You might not live in close proximity to everyone in your network, but that doesn't mean you can't connect with your community. Host a virtual class on a specific topic, like how to use essential oils for occasional stress relief or how to make your own cleaning products. Share your screen and walk your attendees through a PowerPoint or a Canva Presentation. You can even use breakout rooms on Zoom to have smaller discussions and answer questions. Virtual events are a great way to connect with your community, share knowledge, and build relationships.

Don't forget to utilize social media to engage with your community as well.

Pick one or two platforms where your online community hangs out like Facebook or Instagram and start posting selfies, pet pics, photos of your favorite YL products, or share your daily routines using essential oils. Make sure to also engage with other peoples’ posts by commenting, liking, and sharing their content. The engagement will be rewarded and reciprocated!

Finally, it's important to stay consistent with your engagement.

Set aside time each day to check in on your groups and social media profiles. Respond to comments and messages within 24 hours if you can, and spend at least 15 minutes per day engaging with your feed. Follow new people, leave thoughtful comments, and respond to any comments and messages that you have gotten. By consistently engaging with your community, you'll build stronger relationships and grow your network.

Building your Young Living® community through online engagement can be both a fun and rewarding experience. So, to recap: take advantage of Facebook groups, host virtual events, utilize social media, and stay consistent with your engagement. Remember, this is a community, and we're all here to support each other. Happy engaging!
